Community-Based College Access Organizations
Many community-based college access organizations — like after-school programs and local scholarship funds — share the Coalition’s mission to inspire more students to see college in their future and to support them on their path to higher ed.
We know these community-based organizations (CBOs) play a key role in the lives of many students, especially those historically marginalized in higher education. Partnering with them and supporting their work is central to our mission.
Our Partnership with CBOs
-
Our CBO Registry
The Coalition maintains and provides to its member schools a vetted registry of non-profit, community-based organizations that provide free college advising.
-
Access to Scoir
CBOs in our registry have free access to support their students on Scoir, a robust college admissions network with tools for learning about college and applying to Coalition schools.
-
Coalition Events
CBOs in our registry receive regular invitations to join the Coalition at events for counselors and students.
-
Informing our work
CBOs advisors hold positions on the Coalition’s Board of Directors, as well as its Counselor Advisory Committee.
📣 Calling all CBOs!
